The operator, or the machine, tries to make the splice when there is the least residual paper on the core. In fact, slipping causes a delay in the adhesion and engagement of the reel.<\/p>\n<p>These factors also cause a loss of precision in calculating the meters of paper unwound by the automatic splicers.
